Whether shooting videos to share with friends online or serving as a secondary camera on a large production, the EOS 90D camera boasts advanced recording features, such as 4K UHD at 30 fps and Full HD at 120 fps. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
I am drawing a blank, what kind and where can i purchase a USB cord for my EOS 90d so I can transfer images right from camera to MacBook and also to check shutter count. Also does any one know whta kind of USB cable a 1dx Mark ll uses. I am looking at buying a used model from friend and they do not. I recently upgraded to an EOS 90D specifically so that I could use the electronic shutter, and thus not have to worry about shutter life when doing focus stacks. I am rather alarmed to discover that there is a very definite clicking coming from the camera when I set it to do a focus stack - sounds somewhat like the shutter operating. Canon DSLRs are generally rated to sustain anywhere from 50,000 to 300,000 shutter actuation before a shutter replacement is necessary (at a cost of several hundred dollars). Just as you should know a car's mileage before buying or selling, learning how to verify Canon shutter count is a no-brainer if you're in the market for a used DSLR.

Give this free program a try, it was originally suggested by someone interested in Astrophotography. I tried it for my 7DII in April 2018, and it worked in displaying shutter actuations! The program seems to require a bit of effort and time for mastery of its use, so as a non-Astro photographer I merely uninstalled the software after I confirmed the shutter count on my camera.

For anyone who installs this program to get shutter count, the shutter count information appears at the lower left of the screen...I had poked around the menu fruitlessly, needlessly looking for a special function to get shutter count -- before I noticed that the information appears at lower left without any special menu function selection.

Many people ask how many shutter counts will last their camera. Because the camera can be used in many environments, the shutter life always depends on the usage of the camera.
If you use the camera for sports photography or wild life or timelapses where you use continous burst shots or in dirty environments like on beach where small sand dust can enter your camera when you change your lens this can lower the camera shutter life.
Also for cameras with live preview it seems that the shutter actually is used just like for taking photos, so that also counts to your shutter life, but when shooting in live view it seems that the shutter shock is much lower so this actually could help.
