Square Foot Planting Guide
SFG Planner is created specifically for Square Foot Gardening. Now you can plan your Square Foot Garden online, quickly and easily, and get maximum results. Step 1: Define the garden beds Click and drag on the design surface to define your garden beds. A typical SFG garden bed is 4X4. You can move garden beds around by dragging them with a mouse. Use my square foot planting guide to figure out how many plants will fit in each square. Just print a copy, and tuck it inside your garden planner, and it'll save you from having to jump on the Internet to look up the proper spacing every time you go to plant something. Once you have your plan on paper, the next step is to put it into motion on the ground. I am a huge advocate for making a life-size mock-up where you plan to dig – before you even break ground. Birthday streamers, caution tape, or baling string plus a handful of garden stakes or posts can all be used to make your mock-up.
